Oko poly limit student to support social religious gathering
The management of federal Polytechnic Oko orumba North local government of anambra state as one new entrance of the institution to Shun unholy gathering that could lead to membership of a cult group
The Rector of Polytechnic Francisca Nephilim, who address the student during the 37th matriculation ceremony the institution has a strong policy against cultism and that the sanction for belonging to it is severe
Nwafulugo, who was represented by the Deputy Rector Administration, Dr Kenneth Ezekwe at the virtual matriculation ceremony held on Saturday to minimize physical gathering, said the institution only tolerate social religions and sport gathering while charging the student to embrace their studies.
You can engage in social sport and religious activities that would help you in your academics as well as in character building but not cult related activities
According to him;
I must inform you that the Polytechnic is not a dumping ground for anyone who wishes to while away is or her time it is not a place to join cult group and get in trouble with other dangerous activities as the management has zero tolerance against cultism in whatever shape or form it might take.
It is not a place to cheat in exams when you have not read your book or attend classes that you will be expelled from the this institution the Polytechnic also does not tolerate indecent dressing, stealing, fighting or utter disrespect to constituted authorities failure to adhere to these rules will meet serious sanctions.
The Rector Dr Kenneth urged academic and non-academic staff members as well as parents of the new intakes to work assiduously to ensure that they are what are always in the right track so as to bring glory to themselves, their families, the institutions, the nation and society at large
Two students each from various departments represented order at the physical events, while others student follow the ceremony virtually
